Our client is seeking a BOM & Item Master Controller to take ownership of product data, BOM structures, and change control processes, ensuring the smooth operation of planning, procurement, engineering, and manufacturing functions.

The Role

As the BOM & Item Master Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining and governing Item Master data and multi-level BOM structures within the ERP system. You will act as the key link between Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality, and Finance, ensuring data is accurate, controlled, and aligned throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating, maintaining, and auditing Item Master records.
• Managing BOM structures, revisions, and version control.
• Supporting engineering change implementation and change control processes.
• Ensuring planning parameters, lead times, and costing data remain accurate.
• Supporting MRP activities and resolving data-related planning issues.
• Driving data standards, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborating with multiple departments to ensure operational efficiency.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience managing BOMs and Item Master data within an ERP environment.
• A strong understanding of manufacturing, production planning, and MRP processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
• Excellent attention to detail and a structured, analytical approach.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and drive best practice.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or a similar ERP system would be advantageous.
