- Pay: £17.18 per hour PAYE
- Working Hours: 37 hours per week
- Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
Sheffield City Council are recruiting for a Stock & CMDB Officer to support the day-to-day operation of their ICT Collections and Drop-Off service. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role responsible for managing ICT equipment, maintaining accurate stock and asset records, and delivering excellent service to staff.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Issue, prepare and receive ICT equipment including laptops, mobile phones and peripherals.
- Support the daily operation of the ICT collections and drop-off room.
- Handle customer queries, appointments, walk-ins and equipment returns.
- Receive and record ICT deliveries and stock movements.
- Carry out stock checks and maintain organised, secure storage areas.
- Update CMDB, asset management and stock records accurately.
- Track equipment through issue, return, repair, reuse and disposal processes.
- Liaise with ICT teams to ensure requests and returns are processed efficiently.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in stock control, asset management or administration.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and using IT systems.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
- Confident working in a customer-facing, office-based role.
- Experience with CMDB, asset management or service management systems is desirable.
