Strategic Workforce Planning and People Analytics Lead - SC Clearance
A public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Strategic Workforce Planning & People Analytics Lead to support a high-profile government organisation delivering critical workforce planning, analytics and organisational capability initiatives.
This role will lead the development of workforce strategies, workforce forecasting models and people analytics capabilities, providing senior stakeholders with evidence-based insight to support strategic decision-making.
This is an initial 6-month contract based in Salisbury with hybrid working available (3 days per week onsite, 2 days working from home) with a daily rate up to £620 per day via an Umbrella company (inside IR35). Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will need to already hold SC clearance and be a sole British citizen.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Workforce Planning
- Lead the development and maintenance of strategic workforce plans.
- Develop workforce supply and demand forecasts.
- Conduct workforce capability assessments and workforce risk analysis.
- Deliver workforce modelling and scenario planning activities.
- Provide workforce planning recommendations to senior and executive stakeholders.
- Support workforce investment and prioritisation decisions.
People Analytics & Workforce Insight
- Lead people analytics and workforce insight activities.
- Produce workforce dashboards, reports and analytical products.
- Deliver forecasting, trend analysis and workforce research.
- Improve workforce data quality and reporting standards.
- Support evidence-based organisational decision making.
Governance & Transformation
- Support the implementation of workforce planning operating models and governance frameworks.
- Establish and maintain governance processes and operating procedures.
- Coordinate stakeholder forums and workforce planning governance meetings.
- Support organisational adoption and workforce planning maturity.
- Manage implementation risks, dependencies and actions.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Significant experience leading Strategic Workforce Planning within a large, complex organisation.
- Proven experience developing workforce strategies, supply and demand models and workforce forecasts.
- Strong people analytics capability with experience in dashboard development, workforce insight and reporting.
- Experience conducting workforce capability assessments and workforce risk analysis.
- Advanced analytical skills including experience interpreting complex workforce data.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience influencing senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
- Experience delivering organisational change, workforce transformation or operating model implementation programmes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables and macros.
- Experience working across HR, workforce capability, organisational development and transformation functions.
- Ability to work independently as a subject matter expert.
