We're recruiting for a Systems Engineer to support the delivery of complex, high-profile programmes across the defence, government and national security sectors.
This position offers the opportunity to work on some of the UK's most challenging and rewarding projects, helping clients develop innovative technical solutions whilst ensuring successful delivery in highly secure environments.
Please note: Candidates must currently hold active DV or EDV clearance. Applications from candidates with SC clearance only cannot be considered.
The Role
As a Systems Engineer, you'll play a key role throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with technical teams, stakeholders and end users to define requirements, manage risk and deliver successful outcomes.
Responsibilities will include:
- Defining project scope, objectives and technical requirements with stakeholders.
- Leading requirements elicitation workshops and technical design sessions.
- Identifying and mitigating technical risks across programmes and projects.
- Producing and maintaining engineering artefacts including requirements, system models, integration approaches and test strategies.
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.
- Supporting delivery assurance, verification and validation activities.
- Managing integration activities across multiple technical disciplines.
- Coordinating engineering resources and third-party suppliers.
- Supporting clients with Systems Engineering and Technical Architecture best practice.
- Presenting technical findings, recommendations and project updates to senior stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Degree qualified in an Engineering, Technical or Scientific discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Strong Systems Engineering background within software, networking or cyber security environments.
- Experience delivering projects into defence, intelligence, government or national security organisations.
- Previous experience within a consultancy, systems integrator or public sector environment.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering methodologies and frameworks.
- Experience with requirements management, technical risk management, systems architecture, integration and testing.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within complex, highly secure environments.
Essential Requirement
Active DV or EDV clearance is mandatory.
