Technical Architect

Job Title: Technical Security Architect Location: Basingstoke (Fully On-Site)Rate: £600 per day Contract Type: Contractor Duration: ASAP start – 31st December 2025 (TBC)Clearance Required: Orange Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Overview: We’re seeking a skilled Technical Security Architect to support the design, development, and integration of secure network infrastructures within a large-scale Agile programme. You’ll be the go-to security SME within your Scrum team, working closely with infrastructure and service architects, integrators, and testers to ensure security is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle.

This role is fully on-site in Basingstoke and will suit someone with a strong background in Secure by Design principles and NIST methodologies, who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the integration of security controls into infrastructure designs and solutions
• Act as the security subject matter expert across Scrum deliverables
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure security is considered at every stage of development
• Deliver key security-enforcing capabilities into the platform
• Present and defend security designs to peers and senior stakeholders

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in network infrastructure design with a strong security focus
• Ability to design and document robust security solutions
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools and implementation
• Comfortable working with emerging technologies under tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate and justify design decisions
