Technical Customer Support Executive
Location: Hybrid
Salary: £29,000 + benefits to include free parking, utilities allowance
The RoleReed Business Support is looking for a technically minded Customer Support Executive to join our clients growing team in Maidstone. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of web technologies and security protocols to support customers with complex technical issues.
You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, troubleshooting and resolving queries related to PKI, HTTPS, DNS, and web-based technologies. This role suits someone who combines technical expertise with excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and ticketing systems
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) and digital certificates
- Troubleshoot HTTPS/SSL/TLS and website security issues
- Investigate and resolve DNS-related problems including domain configuration and propagation
- Assist clients with HTML/web-based issues and general website functionality
- Work closely with internal technical teams to escalate and resolve complex queries
- Maintain accurate documentation of issues and resolutions
- Strong understanding of:
- PKI / SSL Certificates / Encryption
- HTTPS and web security protocols
- DNS configuration and troubleshooting
- HTML and basic web technologies
- Previous experience in a technical customer support or helpdesk role
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Experience with web hosting, CDNs, or domain management
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, routing)
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g. Zendesk, ServiceNow)
