Technical Project Manager (DV CLEARED) - Defence & National Security

• Daily Rate: £500 - £650
• Location: Basingstoke - fully on site
• Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
• Clearance Required: DV Active (SC cannot be considered)

Join our team as a Project Manager within the Defence & National Security sector, where you will manage complex environments and challenging stakeholders. With a solid background in delivering Transition and Transformation projects, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the realisation of business objectives for both our organisation and our Defence and National Security customers.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

• Manage the full project lifecycle of various project types, including ICT infrastructure, application development, test, and release.
• Utilise different methodologies such as Prince2, Agile, and Safe to ensure effective project management.
• Coordinate with the Project Board or appointed project assurance role to define project requirements and objectives.
• Partner with customers and business lines to manage project delivery, ensuring acceptance, closedown, and handover to service.
• Maintain compliance with local project management policies, procedures, and methodologies.
• Compile status reports from team members across the project and address issues as appropriate.
• Establish and report project Key Performance Indicators to the Senior Project Manager or Project Board.
• Manage project risks, ensuring that timescales and project costs are understood and agreed upon by all parties.
• Oversee financial aspects, integrating financial data for multiple projects and ensuring visibility of the impact on Business Line Profit & Loss.
• Accountable for tracking project costs and supporting Business Units in meeting payment milestones.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing projects within the Defence & National Security sector.
• Strong capability in delivering various projects through the full project lifecycle.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Prince2, Agile, and Safe.
• Effective risk management and financial oversight skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management abilities.
• Must hold DV Active clearance; SC clearance is not sufficient for this role.
