Technical Support Advisor
Part time Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:30 am – 2:30pm Location: Newbury Department: IT / Customer Support
Pay rate: £13.00 per hour
This is a temporary role to start w/c 1st September until 19th December 2025 so you must be able to commit to that.
Job Purpose:
To provide technical support to engineers and internal users, ensuring timely resolution of issues and excellent service delivery during core mid-day hours. This role is ideal for someone with strong problem-solving skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to work independently within a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to technical queries via phone and email.
- Escalate complex problems to senior support staff or relevant departments.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and resolutions.
Requirements:
- No previous experience is essential, someone who can pick things up quickly and happy to provide technical support on the phone.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good understanding of MS office.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
