Temporary HR & Cascade Specialist
Reed HR are working alongside a large and well known Not for Profit Organisation based in East London who are recruiting for an experienced HR & Cascade Specialist on an interim basis for initially 2-3 months.
This role is hybrid (3 days onsite)
Job Summary
As the HRIS Cascade Specialist, you will supporting the planning, configuration, and implementation of significant system changes within the HR Information System (Cascade). This role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of updates & restructuring within the business.
Working closely with the internal HRIS Specialist and reporting directly to the Acting Head of People & Culture, you will provide expert knowledge, guidance, and hands-on execution to ensure accuracy, continuity, and efficiency within our HR systems during this period of transition.
Key Responsibilities
System Configuration & Implementation
- Lead on the planning, design, and configuration of Cascade HRIS changes, particularly those relating to organisational hierarchy and structural updates.
- Ensure all system modifications are delivered accurately, tested thoroughly, and implemented on schedule.
- Work collaboratively with HR, IT, and relevant stakeholders to validate data requirements, dependencies, and impacts before changes are deployed.
Technical Expertise & Support
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Cascade functionality, workflow logic, permissions, reporting, and data structures.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution support for system issues arising during the change process.
- Offer day-to-day technical guidance to the internal HRIS Specialist.
Data Integrity & Quality Assurance
- Ensure data accuracy and robust quality controls throughout the transition period.
- Conduct system audits, identify discrepancies, and deliver corrective actions as required.
- Oversee testing cycles, including test scripts, test execution, and validation sign-offs.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Communicate system changes, timelines, risks, and dependencies clearly to the People & Culture leadership team.
- Document system changes and provide knowledge transfer to internal HR and HRIS teams.
- Support change management activities to ensure smooth adoption across the organisation.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Extensive, in-depth experience with Cascade HRIS, including configuration, workflows, organisational structure design, and reporting.
- Proven track record of leading HRIS changes or implementations in complex organisational environments.
- Strong HR data management, analysis, and quality assurance capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve system issues independently.
- Ability to work at pace in a time-bound, project-focused environment.
- Clear communicator with strong documentation and stakeholder management skills.
