Test Analyst

A global leader in technology is seeking a self-motivated Test Analyst to join our established Test Practice Programme. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a team of dedicated test professionals and collaborate closely with project stakeholders. You will play a key role in analysing solution designs for testability, identifying constraints within the current test environment, and recommending effective mitigation strategies.

This is an initial 12-month contract based in Bracknell with hybrid working available (3 days a week at home and 2 in the office), the daily rate for the role is £400 per day via an Umbrella company (inside IR35).

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse solution designs to ensure testability and identify potential risks.
• Support the production of test artefacts and documentation.
• Work closely with Workstream Leads, Project Managers, and Test Managers to deliver high-quality testing.
• Provide day-to-day support for testing activities across functional, non-functional, and infrastructure areas.
• Contribute to defect triage, investigation, and root cause analysis.

Highly Desirable Skills & Experience

• Strong Oracle and database testing experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, PoS, UNIX commands, Oracle, and Windows environments.
• Understanding of Functional, Non-Functional, Infrastructure, Networks, and Hardware design and testing.
• Experience producing test artefacts and working within Waterfall delivery methodology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
• Knowledge of Software Development and Testing Lifecycles.
• Exposure to both Infrastructure hardware and Application design.

Desirable Skills

• Experience implementing test environments, tools, and resources.
• Knowledge of cryptography in relation to coding.
• ISTQB Foundation Level or above.
