Our client in Manchester is currently on the lookout for an experienced Tester to join their growing team that ensures the features delivered satisfy the products functional and non-functional requirements and are of a consistent high quality. You will help to shape testing practices within your team as well as encouraging the adoption of these process across the wider organisation. You will also work with agile methodology and support the team by bringing industry best practices.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Perform testing activities within a Scrum/Project team acting as the quality gatekeeper for contact centre omnichannel platform and integration points
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers and testers to create acceptance criteria and test approaches.
- Participate in agile Scrum process and rituals. i.e. daily stand ups, planning and retrospectives.
- Create and maintain the automation test suite
- Where automation is not possible, you will ensure that manual testing is documented
- Define, create and run tests that will critique our enterprise applications. i.e. Load, accessibility, browser and device compatibility
- Present feedback (both written and verbal) to product and development teams on test outcomes
Essential skills and experience required for this role:
- Solid experience of testing omnichannel platforms and their integration points, including all levels of System and Integration Testing
- Experience of working with a Genesys omnichannel solution
- Experience with CRM platforms like Siebel CRM
- Solid understanding of Agile (particularly Scrum) software testing methodologies and the practices of a tester in this environment
- Proficient in Test design and Test execution; creating and designing test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, test plans and test reports
- Proficient in test automation, developing and implementing test frameworks and use of automation tools such as Tosca
- Excellent analytical skills; able to identify, analyse and debug issues; working closely with developers and business analysts to find a resolution
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to communicate test status, issues and risk to stakeholders as well as presenting complex information to different audiences
