Our client is seeking an experienced ASP.NET Web Developer to join their in-house development team dedicated to advancing their established and commercially successful SaaS platform. This role is crucial for driving innovation and maintaining their competitive edge in the commercial transport and logistics market. You will play a key role in shaping the future of their platform and be part of a small but rapidly expanding team.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead UI migration to replace legacy WebForms pages/controls with a new .NET 10 ASP.NET MVC-based framework using Razor Pages, JavaScript, and React components.
• Consume ASP.NET Core APIs from the front end, including data fetching, caching, optimistic updates, and resilient error handling.
• Maintain and enhance the .NET Framework WebForms UI.
• Develop and maintain a reusable component library/design system; manage CSS architecture, responsiveness, and theming.
• Optimize front-end performance through code splitting, lazy loading, asset/image optimization, and CSS.
• Manage client-side authentication flows, protected routes, and session state in the UI.
• Write and maintain front-end tests and own front-end tooling.
• Collaborate with back-end developers on API contracts and with designers/PMs on UX acceptance criteria.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Commercial experience with UI on .NET stacks, including maintaining ASP.NET WebForms and authoring ASP.NET MVC/Razor views.
• Proficiency in React (TypeScript preferred) and web fundamentals such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of accessibility, performance optimization, and API consumption.
• Experience with front-end testing using tools like Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, PMs, and back-end developers.
• Desirable skills include exposure to Blazor, experience with design systems like Storybook, and familiarity with SEO & analytics.

Education and Experience:

• Proven track record of shipping and iterating on production web UIs in an ASP.NET environment.
• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience, supported by a portfolio/GitHub.
