Location: Hebburn - Hybrid - 3 days from office, 2 days remote (after probationary period)
Salary: £32K -£34K DOE
Our client is looking for a proactive Website Support Engineer / Web Developer to join a growing team responsible for supporting, maintaining and enhancing a diverse portfolio of client websites.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands-on web development with technical problem solving and client interaction. You'll take ownership of website support requests, implement improvements, and ensure websites remain secure, functional and high performing across multiple platforms.

The Opportunity
In this varied role, you'll work across WordPress, Elementor and HubSpot CMS environments, helping clients keep their websites running smoothly while delivering updates, new functionality and technical improvements.
You'll be trusted to investigate issues, identify solutions, communicate directly with clients and manage tasks through to completion. No two days will be the same, making this a great role for someone who enjoys variety and taking ownership.
Skills
- Strong experience developing and supporting WordPress websites.
- Hands-on knowledge of Elementor or similar page-building platforms.
- Solid understanding of WordPress themes, plugins and ongoing website maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working with hosting environments and cPanel.
- Knowledge of DNS records, domain administration and website migrations.
- Experience managing website backups and recovery processes.
- Understanding of website security best practices.
- Knowledge of responsive web design and cross-browser/device testing.
- Familiarity with technical SEO principles.
- Experience using Google Search Console and resolving indexing issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing.
- Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients.
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- HubSpot CMS.
- JetBackup.
- Schema markup implementation.
- Technical SEO troubleshooting.
- HTML and CSS.
- Basic JavaScript or PHP.
- Website migrations between hosting providers.
- Experience within a digital agency, MSP, IT support or web support environment.
- Working with ticketing or service desk systems.
