.Net Developer – 6-Month Fixed Term Contract (Fully Remote)

We are seeking a mid-level Backend Developer for a 6-month contract to build the backend for a client-facing system. If you are a passionate, personable developer with excellent programming skills and proven knowledge of backend technologies, we would love to hear from you.

Role Overview

As a Backend Developer, your primary focus will be producing and maintaining server-side logic and database interactions. You will collaborate closely with front-end and app developers to deliver high-quality APIs. Your code should be reliable, readable, and clean—prioritizing maintainability over overly complex solutions.

While this is primarily a backend role, knowledge of the full tech stack is advantageous to ensure the best solutions for the project. Familiarity with front-end technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain high-quality, testable code.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to create streamlined and efficient APIs.
• Gather and assess technical and design requirements.
• Build scalable and dependable code.

Requirements & Skills

• Proven experience as a Backend Developer.
• In-depth knowledge of backend and server technologies.
• Hands-on experience with server-side programming languages such as C#, Java, or PHP (preference for .NET frameworks).
• Working knowledge of RESTful applications.
• Experience with Entity Framework Core.
• Familiarity with DTO patterns, dependency injection, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Hands-on experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB).
• Knowledge of manipulating file systems on servers and client-side devices.
• Experience with testing (integration and unit tests).
• Working understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (desirable but not required).
• Excellent analytical and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with OAuth2/OIDC (desirable but not required).
