We are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our product delivery teams. Working within a modern, service-based architecture, you will build and maintain automated tests that ensure quality is embedded across our applications. You will collaborate closely with Engineers and Product Managers to meet functional and non-functional requirements, with a strong focus on performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain automated UI and API tests for web applications and services
  • Carry out exploratory testing to identify functional, UX, and edge-case issues
  • Execute performance and security testing aligned to best practices (e.g. OWASP)
  • Support production incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with Engineers and Product Managers on test strategy, code quality, and requirements
  • Improve testability through CI/CD integration, code reviews, and architecture discussions

Key Skills and Experience

  • Strong programming skills, ideally in JavaScript and C#, with experience applying core software engineering design patterns and principles
  • Extensive experience testing web-based applications, including Single Page Applications and microservice architectures
  • Proven experience in automated UI and API testing using modern frameworks and tools (e.g. Playwright, Postman or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with performance testing (e.g. K6) and security testing, with an understanding of OWASP principles and security within the SDLC
  • Experience building, configuring, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and managing deployments (e.g. Azure DevOps)
  • Ability to analyse telemetry and monitoring data to identify, reproduce, and diagnose defects and performance issues
