Mid Weight- Senior Web Developer

Role Overview

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Web Developer to join our growing digital team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing creative ideas to life, building high-performing websites, and working across a variety of client projects. You’ll play a key role in delivering engaging digital experiences, ensuring all websites are technically sound, visually consistent, and optimised for performance.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development & Build

You will be responsible for developing high-quality WordPress websites based on design concepts provided by the creative team. This includes translating design files into fully functional, responsive websites that perform seamlessly across all devices. You’ll also create and optimise landing pages to support a range of digital marketing campaigns, ensuring they are conversion-focused and aligned with campaign objectives.

Website Performance & Optimisation

A key part of your role will involve ensuring all websites are fast, accessible, and user-friendly. You’ll take ownership of performance optimisation, ensuring sites meet modern web standards and deliver an excellent user experience.

Ongoing Website Maintenance

You will manage the ongoing upkeep of websites, including updating plugins, monitoring security, and ensuring all systems remain stable and up to date. You’ll troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently, minimising downtime and maintaining site integrity. You’ll also support website migrations and work across different hosting environments where required.

Campaign & Technical Support

Working closely with the wider digital team, you’ll support the delivery of marketing campaigns by building and refining landing pages, implementing tracking tools, and ensuring all technical elements are set up correctly. You’ll contribute to continuous improvements, identifying opportunities to enhance performance and functionality.

Collaboration & Project Delivery

You’ll collaborate with designers, digital marketers, and account managers to deliver projects to a high standard and within agreed timelines. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously, supporting a diverse client base across various sectors.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in developing WordPress websites to a high standard
  • Strong working knowledge of page builders such as Elementor or similar tools
  • Solid understanding of HTML and CSS, with the ability to customise and troubleshoot when needed
  • Experience translating design files into fully functional websites
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work
