We are looking to hire a Payments and Treasury Analyst to support our growing operations. This role focuses primarily on reviewing incoming and outgoing payments along with supporting documentation, as well as assisting with accounts receivable and payable, treasury reconciliations and MIS analytics and reporting as part of operational support. Onboarding and treasury responsibilities will increase over time as training and development progress. You will support the head of Operations and Treasury as well as the CEO. You will receive plenty of support and training in Fintech and Banking.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Support
- Review domestic and international payments and associated compliance documentation in line with the Transaction Risk Monitoring framework (FPS, SEPA, SWIFT, CHAPS)
- Monitor inbound and outbound funds across multi-currency accounts and assist treasury in managing liquidity across multiple banks
- Analyse and respond to phone and email operational customer and supplier queries and escalate where necessary
- Support Head of Operations in completing treasury reconciliation and daily reporting
- Compile weekly and monthly MIS packs and data extracts for management and bookkeeping
Onboarding Support (progressively increasing over time)
- Analyse new corporate client documentation and maintain accurate notes and client profile information. Support the initial client onboarding processes and documentation intake
- Assist with client file reviews and gathering of compliance materials under supervision
- Input client data into CRM and onboarding systems, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Liaise with clients during onboarding to support information collection and provide updates
Process Improvement & Projects
- Analyse existing processes and suggest improvements. Question assumptions and provide essential feedback to management
- Contribute to internal operations documentation
- Participate in periodic reviews of operational and onboarding processes
- Support ad hoc projects and testing initiatives
Skills & Experience:
- Formal accountancy training
- A minimum of 6 months of relevant experience in either financial services or accounts payable & receivable, with exposure to the responsibilities listed above (payments, operations, onboarding, or customer service)
- Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to tasks
- Comfortable working with internal systems along with presentation and reporting software such as Excel and Power BI
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Experience with financial reconciliations, payments and due diligence processes
- Understanding of operational risk and working in a regulated environment (desirable)
- Exposure to FX, financial institutions, or fintech environments is desirable but not required
- Languages: English, Russian (desirable)
