Operating across the full programme, you'll bring together interdisciplinary teams—including wet lab biology, machine learning, data science, engineering, and external CRO partners—to ensure projects remain aligned, risks are managed proactively, and delivery stays on track in a fast-paced discovery environment.
What You'll Do
- Partner with Programme and Project Leaders to translate scientific strategy into integrated delivery plans.
- Coordinate multiple interconnected projects across the osteoporosis programme.
- Drive collaboration across biology, machine learning, data science, engineering, and external partners.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, RAID logs, and budgets.
- Monitor programme risks, dependencies, and resource requirements, escalating where appropriate.
- Coordinate governance meetings, steering committees, and decision-making forums.
- Communicate programme progress, risks, and key decisions to senior leadership and external collaborators.
- Maintain clear project documentation, decision logs, and operational processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve ways of working as the programme evolves.
What We're Looking For - Essential
- Significant project or programme management experience within biotech, pharmaceutical, or scientific R&D environments.
- Experience supporting early-stage drug discovery programmes from Target Identification through Candidate Selection.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and tools such as Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, or Asana.
- Excellent organisational, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams in matrix organisations.
- Scientific literacy that enables productive engagement with biology, machine learning, and drug discovery teams.
- Experience managing external collaborators, CROs, or scientific partners.
Desirable
- Understanding of the discovery-to-IND pathway.
- Exposure to IND-enabling studies, CMC, DMPK, regulatory strategy, or translational research.
- Experience supporting pre-IND regulatory activities.
You'll be someone who:
- Thrives in complex, fast-paced, matrixed environments.
- Brings structure and clarity to evolving scientific programmes.
- Builds strong relationships across disciplines.
- Communicates clearly and confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Takes ownership, solves problems proactively, and enables others to do their best work.
- Is motivated by delivering meaningful outcomes for patients.
