We’re looking for an exceptional AWS Data Lead who will work closely with the CTO and businesspeople as we scale up and modernise our business processes and tech stack.

The right person, could even be responsible for writing their own job spec in the future as this organisation scales up.

You will be joining a small but experienced team building up the functionality of a bespoke best-of-breed banking technology, a single platform delivering loan issue, card issue and recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Drive data processing & data related AI strategy across the business
  • Liaise with business stakeholders to understand their requirements
  • Utilise strong AWS capability to implement data processing pipelines & integrate generative AI models as needed using technologies such as Redshift, DMS, python and Bedrock
  • Lead Data Visualisation team members
  • Adhere to standard methodologies for coding, testing and designing reusable code/component;
  • Participate in sprint planning meetings and provide estimations on technical implementation;
  • Contribute to the exploration and understanding of new tools and techniques
  • Implement standardized, automated operational and quality control processes to deliver accurate and timely data and reporting to meet or exceed SLAs;
  • Collaborate with the other engineering team members to ensure all services are reliable, maintainable, and well-integrated into existing platforms;
  • Review functional and technical designs to identify areas of risk and/or missing requirements;
  • Provide technical write-ups and drawings to promote the proposed solutions.
  • Requirements
  • 3-5 years experience AWS cloud and AWS services such as Redshift, DMS, RDS, Glue, S3, Athena, Lambda
  • Experience in designing and managing a data warehouse
  • Experience with AWS Bedrock, Sagemaker and PowerBI desirable
  • Strong capability with SQL in both MySQL and Postgresql flavours
