About the company Remote World is partnering with a UK developer tools company building CLI and SDK products for engineering teams – a UK-based employer – to hire for this role. Their products are used by engineering teams at over 500 companies to standardise deployment workflows and API governance – and they publish everything as open source. The role You'll design and build the REST APIs and SDK integrations that developers use to interact with the platform. Working alongside the API design lead, you'll implement new endpoints, write OpenAPI documentation, maintain SDK clients in multiple languages and respond to issues raised by the developer community. What you'll do Design and build REST API endpoints following OpenAPI standards Maintain SDK clients in TypeScript, Python and Go Write comprehensive API documentation and integration guides Triage and respond to developer community issues and feature requests Write tests and keep the API backwards-compatible What you'll need Experience designing and building REST APIs Comfortable with OpenAPI/Swagger for API documentation Familiarity with at least two of: TypeScript, Python, Go You write tests and care about API versioning and backwards compatibility Excellent async written communication – you'll interact with developers publicly Nice to have Experience maintaining open-source SDKs Familiarity with GraphQL or gRPC What you'll get $700–$1,100 USD/month, paid monthly Fully remote – work from anywhere Structured Mon–Fri UK schedule $500/year learning budget Home office equipment stipend Apply through Remote World – send your CV and a short note on why you're a great fit.
