Role overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Oracle APEX Developer to join our Defence and Security company. As a Junior to Mid-Level Oracle APEX Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications that support the needs of our customers. You will work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals, and contribute to the development of software solutions that enhance our national security. Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain customer-facing and internal Oracle APEX applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse requirements, and design effective solutions
• Create and maintain database objects, including tables, views, and stored procedures
• Design, develop, and maintain user interfaces using Oracle APEX, adhering to best practices in application development
• Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with security standards
• Perform code reviews and ensure that code is well-documented and follows coding standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, providing timely support to end-users
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations in software development
• Collaborate with senior developers to learn and grow in the role, contributing to the success of the team and organisation

About the candidate:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in Oracle APEX development
• Knowledge of PL/SQL, SQL, and database design principles
• Familiarity with web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent teamwork abilities
• Security clearance or willingness to obtain a security clearance is required
