Role Overview:
As a Senior Software Developer, you will help organisations embed AI into real-world operations, working on a wide range of technical challenges across the full technology stack. You will develop agentic AI solutions, likely running on cloud infrastructure, contributing to innovative and practical implementations. Operating in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving industry, you will continuously adapt to new technologies and embrace ongoing learning opportunities. You will be expected to bring curiosity and a willingness to explore new approaches as part of your role. Working collaboratively within a team, you will apply your expertise to help customers achieve the goals of their AI journey. This is a hybrid-based role in Manchester.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable software solutionsWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable code using appropriate technologies and frameworksContribute to architecture discussions and design sessions for new features and projectsReview code to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelinesCollaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications, articulating trade-offs clearlyTroubleshoot and debug complex issues across different environments and support automated testing activitiesContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and stay current with industry trends, supporting internal innovation and acceleratorsBring a strong technology perspective to client challenges and mentor junior team members to build organisational capabilityAbout the Candidate: Approximately 2–3 years' experience in software development roles, ideally with exposure to both cloud and AI developmentProven experience working within teams in complex, fast-paced environmentsStrong understanding of modern delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, hybrid models) and governance practicesCredible and structured communication style, with the ability to influence senior stakeholdersProactive and enthusiastic, with the ability to take ownership of challenges and deliver solutionsComfortable working with ambiguity, maintaining clarity and momentum across evolving scopesStrong interest in continuous learning, staying current with emerging technologies and real-world AI applicationsExperience in regulated or complex sectors (e.g. financial services) and a consulting background with client-facing delivery experience is preferredReply is an Equal Opportunities Employer and committed to embracing diversity in the workplace.
