IBM InfoSphere Optim Administrator - Outside IR35 and Remote Working
We are seeking a highly experienced IBM InfoSphere Optim Administrator/Consultant to join our team for a long-term engagement. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience managing complex Optim environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead administration and management of the IBM InfoSphere Optim platform on Windows environments.
- Support and execute data archiving solutions, performance tuning, and environment maintenance.
- Assist with platform migration initiatives-strong preference for candidates with experience migrating from IBM Optim to OpenText.
- Manage and troubleshoot Optim data export processes, including exports via ODBC from client systems.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to perform basic Windows Server administration and manage network file share permissions.
- (Optional) Utilize MS Excel macro knowledge to support automation and reporting tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Optim on Windows platforms.
- Proven expertise in Optim administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with data migration projects (Optim - OpenText highly desirable).
- Understanding of Windows Server fundamentals and network file share management.
- Familiarity with ODBC connectivity and data export workflows.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience creating or maintaining Excel macros for data processing or workflow enhancement.
