The Opportunity
Are you an IT professional who enjoys the unique environment of education technology? This role is about more than just fixing hardware; it is about empowering the next generation by ensuring technology never stands in the way of learning. We are looking for a dedicated School Technician to join our growing team across Leeds
You will serve as the primary on-site technical contact, acting as a trusted extension of our partner schools. From troubleshooting classroom AV to managing cloud environments, your work ensures that teachers and students can operate without technical barriers.
What You Will Do
- Provide high-quality 1st-line support through both scheduled visits and urgent call-outs.
- Manage, repair, and deploy hardware including laptops, PCs, and iPads, while ensuring AV equipment like Smart Boards are lesson-ready.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Google Classroom, and Azure environments to keep school workflows seamless.
- Monitor cybersecurity best practices, including firewalls, web filtering, and safeguarding software to keep students safe online.
- Manage user accounts via Active Directory and Group Policy, ensuring LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi connectivity remains stable.
What You Bring to the Table
- A solid background in IT support, ideally with previous experience in an educational setting.
- Familiarity with Windows Server, Hyper-V or VMware, Intune, and mobile device management for Android and iOS.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff clearly.
- Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
