Business Support / Finance Manager
Market Harborough, Leicestershire based (Hybrid, 3 days in office)
Up to £35,000 full-time salary (depending on experience)
Full-time, hybrid working with at least 3 days/week in our Market Harborough Office

4C Strategies is one of the UKs leading independent IT consultancies in the public sector. Were a small, ambitious and friendly team (15 people and growing), and were looking for a highly organised Business Support Manager to keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly. This role is central to the business -supporting finance, HR, health & safety, sustainability, ISO management and the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Finance
- Manage end-to-end invoicing using Sage, including issuing invoices, tracking payments and supporting credit control.
- Process supplier and associate invoices, staff expenses, and monthly Sagebank reconciliations.
- Produce monthly finance reports and support VAT returns, framework returns and year-end accounts.
HR & People Administration
- Coordinate onboarding, leavers and personnel files.
- Liaise with our external HR provider on contracts, policies and compliance.
- Support recruitment admin, monthly payroll checks and pension submissions.
- Maintain sickness/absence records and support wellbeing processes.
Health & Safety
- Keep H&S documentation, training and assessments up to date.
- Use the external H&S portal to manage incidents, risk assessments and compliance evidence.
- Prepare for annual H&S audits and maintain accurate staff-related safety records.
Office & Business Management
- Oversee day-to-day office operations, meeting room bookings, supplies and facilities liaison.
- Maintain company policies, insurances, statutory records and business documentation.
- Support the Management Team with governance, record-keeping and process updates.
ISO Accreditation
- Maintain documentation and evidence for ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and ISO 14001.
- Coordinate internal/external audits and track improvement actions.
- Ensure processes, records and logs remain compliant and audit-ready.
Sustainability & Social Value
- Support ISO 14001, Net Zero and the Carbon Reduction Plan.
- Prepare carbon reporting and sustainability data for tenders and clients.
- Track social value commitments and coordinate improvement activities.
Consultancy, Resourcing & Marketing Support
- Provide admin support across bids, proposals, CVs, templates and client documents.
- Maintain consultant/associate records and ensure high-quality document formatting.
PA Support to the Managing Director
- Manage diary, inbox, travel arrangements and meeting preparation.
- Provide confidential support on client work, internal projects and day-to-day priorities.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- At least 3 years experience in Business Support, Office Management or Operations
- Strong experience using Sage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online portals
- A proactive, friendly and professional approach
- Up to £35,000, depending on experience
