ServiceNow Consultant - London Market, Insurance, Contract

My London Market insurance client are looking for a Technical Lead(In Ops- ServiceNow)specializing incore ServiceNow modules such as App Engine, IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Security Operations (SecOps), and HR Service Delivery. Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform's architecture, integration capabilities, and custom application developmentyou will spearhead the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of our cutting-edge software solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include leading the technical design and solutioning processes, crafting and deploying high-performance, scalable microservices using Spring Boot and other relevant technologies. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Java Script development and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions to support business strategies.
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and architecture principles.
  • Act as a key advisor to senior management on technology trends, innovations, and opportunities to enhance business operations.
  • Oversee and manage end-to-end delivery of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of IT systems and applications.
  • Drive the adoption of modern technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve team productivity and system efficiency.
  • Mentor and develop technical talent, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of IT systems, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and technology partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Ensure that software designs align with business requirements and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in software development, or technology leadership roles
  • Includes hands-on core ServiceNow modules such as App Engine, IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Security Operations (SecOps), Customer Service Management (CSM) & Financial Services Operations (FSO).
  • 4+ years of experience in JavaScript or its frameworks such as Angular, React or Vuejs.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Technical Lead in the insurance industry having implemented scalable, resilient, and secure solutions within the Underwriting and Rating domain. Experience of building Underwriting Workbench applications on a ServiceNow product is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in implementing and overall knowledge of insurance/reinsurance specific business applications such as Policy Administration System suites, Quote & Bind Portals, Claims Management systems.
  • Experience in implementing complex, highly configurable technologies, preferably ServiceNow Customer and Industry Workflow Solutions
  • Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform's architecture, integration capabilities, and custom application development
  • Experience with ServiceNow modules like incident, request, change, maintenance window, SLAs, and email notifications
  • Knowledge of scripting business rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts, ACLs, Workflow Activities, and automation
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex IT systems and architectures.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Experience in applying enterprise integration strategies w.r.t ServiceNow platform.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience in building and consuming them using ServiceNow.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity, and compliance standards.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide technical teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a significant advantage
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work in an agile development environment.
  • Strong knowledge on creation of data models based on the provided requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of dependency management tools such as Maven/Gradle.
  • Strong knowledge on Clean Architecture and Clean code practices
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with excellent understanding of system development methodologies, techniques, and tools.
  • Responsible for leading the delivery teams from end-to-end delivery standpoint.
