Solution Architect for Pre Sales (London)

We are hiring a Solution Architect for Pre-Sales to act as a technical partner to our commercial and account teams across Europe. This is a transversal role supporting multiple accounts and industries from retail and consumer brands to financial services and energy.
You will shape early-stage technical conversations, lead or support proposal development, and bring strategic architecture thinking into sales cycles. Youll help clients understand whats possible and help Photon understand whats required to deliver.
This is an ideal role for an adaptable engineering leader looking to step into a client-facing, hybrid architecture + presales position, even without formal presales experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support technical discovery sessions during client meetings, translating needs into architecture ideas, platforms, or integration paths.
- Design high-level solution architectures with support from engineering and delivery teams (global).
- Shape proposals and estimates, including RFP responses, SOWs, and solution overviews.
- Act as a technical advocate for Photons platform offerings, including our Agentic AI system, PHTN.ai.
- Collaborate with global engineering and UX leaders to structure delivery models for complex projects.
- Evaluate technical talent for upcoming engagements through interviews and vetting processes.
- Help facilitate AI workshops, proof-of-concept sessions, and technical demos during presales when needed.
What you Bring:
- 7+ years of experience in engineering, architecture, or digital product delivery.
- Exposure to CMS platforms, ecommerce systems, mobile app development, cloud-native architectures, or API-based ecosystems.
- Strong understanding or interest in AI/ML, GenAI, and enterprise data platforms especially how they integrate into customer experience.
- Prior experience working in a consulting, agency, or client-facing environment, with comfort handling ambiguity and evolving requirements.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills especially with non-technical audiences.
- Fluency in English (required); other European languages are a plus.
- Preferred locations: Paris or London.
- Travel: Occasional client travel across Europe.
- Youll work closely with European commercial leadership and global engineering and product teams (especially in India and the US).
