Data Team Lead

Data Lead (BigQuery / dbt / Airflow) | Up to £110,000 | London (Hybrid) | EdTech

You’ll play a key role in evolving a modern data stack into a scalable, business-aligned data platform within a fast-growing EdTech with strong foundations and clear product–market fit.

You’ll operate as a hands-on data leader, owning strategy while still contributing technically across modelling, orchestration, ingestion and BI.

This is a critical hire, you will work closely with Engineering leadership, Security and stakeholders across the business to ensure data is reliable,and directly driving decision-making as the company scales.

The environment is collaborative, pragmatic and ownership-driven, with a clear path toward Data Director as the function formalises.

Stack: BigQuery, dbt Core, Airflow, Airbyte, ThoughtSpot, Google Analytics, Python

What do you need?

• Strong commercial experience in data engineering / analytics engineering roles
• Proven experience leading a small data team
• Deep data modelling expertise (OLTP vs OLAP, star/snowflake, SCDs, CDC)
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery, dbt and Airflow
