Job Title: Senior AI Engineer

Location: London - Hybrid (2 day's onsite p/w)

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £90,000 - £95,000 + 3-8% Bonus

I’m working with a leading research platform that is scaling its AI capabilities, and we’re looking for a Senior AI Engineer with a true engineering background.

Candidates must have an engineering background, candidates from a data science background will not be considered.

We need someone who can design, build, and ship production-grade LLM applications and AI-enabled workflows.

What you’ll be doing

🔹 Building ingestion + retrieval pipelines (structured & unstructured data)

🔹 Designing RAG systems, vector stores, search, tagging, and metadata frameworks

🔹 Developing LLM apps (LangChain/LangGraph), multimodal AI, fine-tuning, and optimisation

🔹 Deploying services on Azure, owning CI/CD, IaC, monitoring, and observability

🔹 Writing clean, scalable production code and contributing to architecture decisions

🔹 Ensuring AI governance, security, and responsible use

What we’re looking for

🔹 Proven experience building and deploying AI/LLM products in production

🔹 Strong Python, APIs, async programming, and integration skills

🔹 Experience with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain/LangGraph, LlamaIndex

🔹 Solid understanding of cloud (Azure), MLOps, and modern engineering practices

🔹 Knowledge of databases, vector search, and knowledge graphs

🔹 A pragmatic, delivery-focused engineer who can collaborate across product, research, and engineering teams
