Java/C++ Developer (Low Latency)

Low-Latency Engineer (Java/C++) | London, 3 days onsite | Up to £600/day Inside IR35 | 12-month contract

I'm working with a global technology consultancy delivering into a tier-1 investment bank's ultra-low-latency trading platform. They need three engineers to help build the Real Time market data backbone that feeds their trading desks, where microseconds really do count.

What you'll be doing:

• Building and tuning high-throughput, low-latency components in Core Java and C++
• Working on Kernel bypass architectures and low-latency networking on Linux
• Distributing Real Time market data across a large estate of direct exchange feeds
• Working closely with quant, trading and engineering teams

What they're looking for:

• 5+ years in HFT, electronic trading or other ultra-low-latency environments
• Strong hands-on Core Java and C++
• Deep Linux performance tuning and Kernel bypass experience
• Market data distribution experience (feed handlers, protocols like Refinitiv ETA)
