Events & Community Manager

Birmingham (2 days per week in-office)

Up to £40,000 + Private Healthcare + Generous Benefits

Most companies run events. Very few build communities.

We’re working with an ambitious, fast-growing software business in Birmingham that’s looking for an Events & Community Manager to do exactly that, build a genuine, engaged community around their product and brand.

This isn’t just about organising events. It’s about creating experiences people remember and building something people want to be part of.

The role:

You’ll take ownership of both events and community strategy, bringing people together through high-quality in-person experiences while also helping to grow an engaged online community.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Planning and delivering standout events across the UK
  • Acting as a key representative of the business, building relationships with attendees, customers, and partners
  • Launching and growing an online community (Slack, Discord, forums, etc.)
  • Managing event logistics end-to-end (venues, speakers, schedules, promotion)
  • Ensuring every event delivers a high-quality, memorable experience
  • Working closely with marketing and leadership on community growth
  • Helping create a strong sense of belonging around the brand

What they’re looking for:

  • 2+ years’ experience running events (tech/startup/community experience is a plus)
  • Experience building or managing online communities
  • Confident, personable communicator who enjoys meeting people
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable balancing front-facing events with planning and coordination
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys bringing people together

Why this role stands out:

  • Opportunity to build and shape a community from the ground up
  • High visibility role with real impact across the business
  • Blend of creativity, strategy, and execution
  • Clear scope to grow this into a broader community/brand role over time

Package:

  • Salary up to £40,000
  • Private healthcare + generous benefits
  • Free parking
  • Hybrid working (2 days per week in the Birmingham office)

If you’re someone who thrives on connecting people, building communities, and creating great experiences, this is a role where you can make a real impact.
