Lead Product Designer

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Lead Product Designer to take ownership of design initiatives, contribute to our design system, and help raise the quality and consistency of design across the organisation. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with product and engineering teams to create experiences that feel intuitive, scalable, and meaningful for our users.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of end-to-end design for major areas of the platform, from early discovery through to final delivery.
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define how our platform should behave and how people move through it.
- Help develop and maintain our design system, ensuring components and guidelines are easy to use and consistently applied.
- Turn complex problems or technical requirements into clear, thoughtful design solutions.
- Partner with engineers throughout the build process to ensure high-quality implementation.
- Use data, user insights, and experimentation to help guide your decisions and validate ideas.
- Encourage user-centred thinking across the organisation and promote good design practices.
- Contribute to broader product and platform discussions, helping shape future directions.
- Clearly communicate design choices and rationale to different stakeholders.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience as a Senior Product Designer or Lead Product Designer working in technical multi-product environments.
- Strong systems thinking, with the ability to see design patterns that work across different teams and use cases.
- A good understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
- Experience contributing to or helping evolve a design system.
- A portfolio that shows thoughtful problem solving, attention to detail, and real impact.
- Comfortable working in areas with ambiguity and able to bring structure and clarity where needed.
- Confident using research insights and data to inform your decisions.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work well with partners across the business.
- Proactive, well-organised, and attentive to the details that matter.
- Experience designing for AI or machine-learning powered experiences is highly advantageous.
