Senior Sales & Account Manager

Location: Ideally Geneva, London, or Athens - There can be flexibility regarding location for candidates whose experience and profile are particularly relevant.

We are supporting a growing commodity technology business that is scaling a specialist hardware and software platform for the global bunkering and maritime fuels market.

The platform is designed to bring greater transparency, efficiency and confidence to the bunker delivery process, helping customers reduce risk around fuel quantity, quality, documentation and operational visibility. This is a high-impact commercial role, working closely with senior stakeholders to support the next stage of international growth.

The successful candidate will take ownership of sales and account management activity across key markets, with responsibility for developing new business opportunities, managing strategic customer relationships, supporting onboarding and helping shape the wider commercial approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new leads and identify relevant decision-makers across the maritime, shipping and bunkering sectors
  • Qualify and prioritise business opportunities in line with commercial strategy, supporting pitch preparation, logistics and follow-up activity
  • Develop and implement sales and business development strategy, including sales processes and pipeline management
  • Support deal structuring, pricing discussions, business-value analysis and commercial proposals
  • Manage the sales pipeline, projected revenues and customer account development
  • Monitor industry trends, customer drivers and the competitive landscape, providing insight to internal stakeholders
  • Act as the first point of contact for new clients, from initial pitch through to completed onboarding
  • Manage client accounts, including new contracts, renewals, invoicing coordination and long-term relationship development
  • Conduct client demos alongside the product team and support customer feedback into the wider business
  • Contribute to sales, marketing and client-facing material
  • Take a hands-on approach across commercial administration, client onboarding, internal coordination and day-to-day growth activity as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working in the commodities, shipping, bunkering, maritime software or marine technology industry Successful track record in B2B sales, account management and negotiation, ideally with at least 5 years’ experience
  • Experience managing projects with clients and/or external stakeholders, ideally with at least 5 years’ experience
  • Strong understanding of the shipping industry, with exposure to bunkering, marine fuels, maritime operations or software-led solutions highly advantageous
  • Comfortable working with product and technical teams on client demos, onboarding, customer feedback and implementation requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluent Englishrequired
  • Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting and budgeting
  • Ability to work as part of a global, distributed team, while remaining self-motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on growth environment where responsibilities may extend across sales, account management, onboarding, marketing support and commercial administration
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
