We’re seeking a Senior iOS Developer with a strong software engineering background, 6+ years of native iOS development experience and an interest in developing skills on Android.

The Senior iOS Developer will be joining a top-flight team of 45 at a world-class healthcare scaleup to help scale a native mobile app by 10x over the next 12 months and take the app to the next level.

The successful candidate will be analytical, proactive, and delivery focused. A self-starter who thrives on collaboration and is passionate about improving patient care.

• Degree in computer science, maths or other technical subject, or equivalent commercial experience
• 6+ years’ experience of native iOS development (Swift, Xcode, libraries)
• A desire to develop skills in native Android development
• Understanding of best practices for app development and testing
• Understanding of software design patterns, including UI architectural patterns particularly regarding native mobile apps
• Experience of local databases and reactive UI
• Experience of UI test automation

• Working with the Lead Mobile Developer to deliver the iOS app
• Growing as an Android Developer, to help deliver the Android app. There is strong source code parity between Kotlin/Swift, achieving very good cross-platform efficiency within pure native codebases
• Ensuring strong source code parity across platforms
• Modernising older parts of the codebase, e.g. moving legacy UI pages to Swift UI
• Helping to introduce UI and snapshot test automation, to augment existing strong unit tests
• Proactively analysing UX, performance, maintainability, test coverage, documentation - and driving initiatives to improve
• Working with the Product Owner and QA Engineer to ensure high quality across the mobile apps
