As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager to help accelerate our next phase of expansion.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a scaling technology business with a strong market position, differentiated products and ambitious growth plans.

Your primary focus will be winning new business across mid-market and enterprise organisations. Alongside this, you’ll take commercial ownership of a select portfolio of strategic customers and partners, leading executive business reviews, securing repeat revenue and identifying opportunities to expand existing relationships.

This is not a customer support role. You’ll work closely with our Customer Success team, who manage implementation and day-to-day account management, allowing you to focus on building senior relationships, delivering commercial value and driving long-term revenue growth.

Unlike many business development roles, you’ll benefit from an established outbound sales engine, growing marketing function, strategic partnerships and an experienced leadership team, allowing you to focus on building relationships, solving customer challenges and closing business.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Generate and develop new business opportunities across target sectors.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to contract signature.
  • Conduct discovery meetings with HR, Talent Acquisition, Compliance, Operations and Procurement stakeholders.
  • Deliver engaging online and face-to-face product demonstrations.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective customers and key decision makers.
  • Prepare proposals, commercial responses and business cases.
  • Manage tender opportunities and procurement processes where required.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline management and sales forecasting.
  • Represent Rightcheck at exhibitions, conferences and networking events.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed new business revenue targets.

Strategic Account Growth

  • Take commercial ownership of a portfolio of strategic customers and partners.
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and executive relationship meetings.
  • Develop strategic account plans focused on long-term growth.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling, upselling and wider platform adoption.
  • Support contract renewals and commercial negotiations.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Customer Success, Product and Marketing to maximise customer value and retention.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Proven experience in a Business Development Manager, Senior Business Development Manager, Account Executive or similar new business sales role.
  • Demonstrable track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles from prospecting through to contract signature.
  • Strong consultative selling, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience engaging senior stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organised, commercially minded and self-motivated.

  • Deliver engaging Quarterly Business Reviews that strengthen executive relationships.
  • Increase recurring revenue through renewals, cross-selling and upselling.
  • Become a trusted commercial advisor to customers and partners.
