UI Product Designer
About the Company
We are representing a pioneering, well-funded startup on a mission to solve one of the biggest challenges of our time: making healthcare financially sustainable. Today, healthcare providers are drowning in fragmented data, locked away in separate clinical, financial, and operational systems. This lack of clarity prevents them from allocating resources effectively and delivering better patient outcomes.
Our client is building the universal financial intelligence layer for the healthcare industry. By unifying scattered data sources with a powerful AI engine, their platform automatically surfaces the critical insights providers desperately need—no manual work required. Backed by $2m from leading VCs, they are poised for a full commercial launch and are building the team that will define the future of HealthTech.
Location: Central London (Hybrid)
Term: Initial 3 month Fixed Term Contract (with possibility of moving to permanent)
The Opportunity
As one of the first Product Designers, you will play a foundational role in shaping a product that turns complex, messy data into clean, elegant, and actionable insights. You will be at the heart of the product, working closely with the CTO and founding team to build a platform that is not just powerful, but also intuitive and indispensable for its users.
Your mission will be to help practice owners and healthcare managers understand their business at a glance, allowing them to drill down seamlessly from high-level metrics into the granular details that drive decisions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- User Experience: Design an intuitive and seamless experience for users who are often not data-savvy, enabling them to navigate vast amounts of information effortlessly.
- Data Visualisation & Flows: Create powerful information architecture and user flows, mapping journeys from high-level dashboards to deep-dive views that feel effortless.
- AI-Powered Design: Pioneer the user experience for a proactive AI engine. You’ll design how AI-generated suggestions are surfaced clearly and build trust with the user.
- Systems Thinking: Build and maintain a coherent, scalable design system using tools like Figma, ensuring consistency across different user types, from small single-site practices to large enterprise groups.
- Drive Quality & Collaboration: Champion strong design principles while working in a tight-knit, cross-functional team. You’ll collaborate daily with product, engineering, and commercial teams to translate user needs and business goals into tangible outcomes.
Who We’re Looking For
You are a thoughtful, product-minded designer who thrives on simplifying complexity. You understand that good design is about outcomes, not just aesthetics, and you’re excited by the challenge of creating clarity from chaos.
- Experienced: You have 3+ years of experience designing end-to-end product experiences for complex, data-heavy SaaS platforms.
- Exceptional at UX: You have a talent for simplification, knowing exactly when to show detail and when to hide it to avoid overwhelming the user.
- Evidence-Led: You are comfortable running scrappy user research and usability tests, using both qualitative and quantitative data to inform your design decisions.
- Hands-On: You are proficient in your craft, producing clear wireframes, beautiful UI, and production-ready design specs in Figma.
- Collaborative & Self-Directed: You excel at working with engineers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation and can own a problem space from discovery to delivery with minimal oversight.
- Comfortable with Ambiguity: You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can explore, prototype, learn, and iterate quickly.
Bonus Points For
- Experience designing analytics, BI, or financial technology products.
- Familiarity with workflows in healthcare or other regulated industries.
- Basic frontend literacy and experience creating robust component libraries.
Why You Should Apply
- Foundational Impact: As an early hire, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the product, culture, and direction of the company from the ground up.
- Accelerated Growth: This is a team of proven, repeat founders with exceptionally high standards. High performance is recognised and rewarded with rapid career progression.
- A Mission That Matters: This isn’t just another SaaS tool. You will be applying cutting-edge technology to solve a fundamental problem and power a more sustainable future for global healthcare.
- Vibrant On-site Culture: Join a talented team that believes in the power of in-person collaboration, working from a private office in Central London.
