Excellent opportunity for a highly skilled Web Developer with strong PHP and Laravel expertise to take ownership of exciting, business-critical projects and play a key role in a growing digital team.

In this role, you'll take the lead on developing, maintaining, and optimising modern web applications using PHP, Laravel, and MySQL. You'll work closely with colleagues and clients to scope, design, and deliver new features, while ensuring existing platforms are secure, scalable, and performant. The role follows a hybrid model, with Mondays and Fridays from home, and Tuesday to Thursday based in the Northampton office.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience of PHP and Laravel development, a proven track record of designing and optimising databases in MySQL, and a confident understanding of front-end and API integration. Exposure to cloud platforms, containerisation tools, or modern JavaScript frameworks will also be valuable.

The Role:
* Develop, maintain, and optimise complex web applications using PHP, Laravel, and MySQL
* Lead on project delivery, collaborating with colleagues and clients to define requirements
* Ensure applications are performant, scalable, and secure
* Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the full stack
* Contribute to best practices and continuous improvement within the team
The Person:
* Strong, proven experience with PHP (7/8) and the Laravel framework
* Excellent knowledge of MySQL database design and optimisation
* Confident working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive front-end development
* Skilled in version control (Git) and RESTful API integration
* Collaborative team player with the ability to take ownership of projects
* Able to pass a DBS check during probation due to client base working with
