Aberdeen
Up to £68,000 + Monday-Friday + Full Trainer Development + 33 Days Holiday + Health Scheme + Pension + Subsidised Lunches + Excellent Benefits
Are you an experienced Substation Fitter or Power Engineer with a background in electricity distribution or transmission looking to come off the tools and move into a professional training role?
Do you want to use the experience you've built throughout your career to train the next generation of power engineers, while earning up to £68,000 and enjoying a stable Monday-to-Friday working environment?
This organisation is a leading technical training provider that is continuing to invest heavily in its facilities, people and future growth. As part of the expansion of its Power Training division, they are now developing their training capability in Aberdeen and are looking for an experienced industry professional to become an integral part of that growth.
In this role, you'll use your industry experience to deliver practical and classroom-based training covering electricity distribution and transmission systems, with a particular focus on Substation Fitting. You'll deliver Fitting Modules, support technical qualifications in Power Engineering and deliver compliance training relating to distribution activities. You'll also assess learners against nationally recognised standards and help develop high-quality training packages for the electricity industry. Initial onboarding and development will take place between Aberdeen and Manchester.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years' experience within electricity distribution, transmission or a relevant commercial power environment and hold a minimum Level 2 qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline. You'll ideally have strong knowledge of LV/HV systems and have held Fitting or Jointing authorisations. You do not need to already be a qualified trainer, with teaching and assessor qualifications desirable rather than essential and development available for the right industry professional.
