An excellent opportunity for a Test Development Engineer to work for a multi-national electronics manufacturer, where significant progression is available for an ambitious candidate.

Do you have experience with test equipment and switched mode power supplies? Do you want to develop your technical ability and become the go to Engineer?

This multi-national company develop power supply solutions for extreme environments, from design to manufacture. They are continually expanding and progressing employees through the ranks and they are a trusted supplier to some of the world's defence forces. Due to a position opening in the company, they are now looking for a Test Development Engineer to join their close-knit team.

In this role you will provide first line technical support for production test issues, including triage, diagnosis, and repair of test equipment and fixtures. You will design and develop test equipment such as qualification jigs, manual test rigs and automated test equipment in liaison with senior engineers. Part of your role will be to maintain and improve documentation, support existing test equipment and software, and identify cost-saving improvements.

This would therefore ideally suit an engineer with strong technical knowledge of electronics, test principles, and manufacturing processes, who is looking for the next step in their career whereby they will have the opportunity of significant progression in a world class power supplies business.

The Role:
* Product Support - first line technical support for production test issues
* Design and development of new test equipment and fixtures
* Maintain and improve documentation
* £35,000 - £50,000 + Significant Progression + Training + Hovertravel Season Ticket + Benefits

The Person:
* Understanding of test equipment usage in a relevant field
* Knowledge of test principles and how they are applied
* Understanding of manufacturing processes and their effectiveness
* Experience with in-circuit test principles
* Experience testing switched mode power supplies or similar circuitry
