Python Developer – SC - Contract 6M - Outside IR35

We’re looking for a hands-on Python Developer to join a high-performing team delivering modern applications and migrating legacy systems into scalable, web-based solutions.

This is a fast-paced, delivery-focused role where you’ll work alongside experienced engineers on real-world, high-impact projects across multiple customer environments.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building and maintaining Python-based back-end services (APIs, background tasks)
  • Developing web applications (Flask, FastAPI, or Django)
  • Supporting legacy system modernisation & data migrations
  • Working with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
  • Writing clean, testable code and contributing to CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborating in a DevOps-driven, containerised (Docker) environment

  • What we’re looking for:

    • Strong Python development experience
    • Experience with REST APIs & web frameworks (FastAPI, Flask or Django)
    • Solid understanding of SQL & data handling
    • Familiarity with Git, Docker & Linux environments
    • A proactive, problem-solving mindset
