Role Description
As a Senior Desktop Services Officer at RoarTech Ltd, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting the organization's vital IT infrastructure. You will serve as a primary point of contact for desktop support, ensuring seamless technical operations across our headquarters and various customer sites. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, professional relationship management, and the ability to mentor junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Support: Install, maintain, and support wide area networks (WANs), local area networks (LANs), Intranets, and individual hardware including computers and mobile devices.
Technical Problem Solving: Act as the designated point of contact for desktop support queries and proactively respond to online support tickets.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain professional working relationships with onsite staff and stakeholders.
Team Collaboration: Assist and provide guidance to Desktop Service Officers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Solution Design: Contribute to the design and implementation of new client solutions.
Reporting: Report directly to the Senior Line Manager regarding operational status and project progress.
Requirements
Legal Authorization: Must be legally allowed to work in England.
Technical Proficiency: Proven experience in managing LAN/WAN environments and diverse hardware fleets.
Mobility: Ability to work from a primary school in Birmingham and travel to various customer and assigned school sites as required.
Professionalism: A commitment to abiding by company rules, regulations, and policies while representing the firm at client locations.
