Commercial Finance Manager

As the business continues to scale, they are looking to strengthen their commercial finance function with the appointment of a Senior Commercial Finance Manager. This is a highly visible role working closely with operational and leadership teams to support strategic growth, improve commercial performance, and enhance financial decision-making across the organisation.

The RoleThis position will play a central role in supporting commercial and operational teams with financial insight, performance analysis, and strategic planning. You will act as a trusted advisor to department heads while leading a small finance team and helping drive improvements across reporting and planning processes.
Key Duties- Work closely with senior leadership to support commercial strategy and business planning
- Produce detailed financial models, forecasts, and performance analysis
- Provide meaningful commercial insight to support operational decision-making
- Oversee monthly reporting activities and ensure delivery of accurate management information
- Support budgeting and long-range planning processes across multiple business areas
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency
- Drive process improvements across finance systems, controls, and reporting
- Mentor and manage junior finance team members
- Build strong cross-functional relationships across operational and support functions
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Previous experience within commercial finance, FP&A, or strategic finance roles
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data clearly
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Experience partnering with non-finance teams in a commercial environment
- Proven ability to manage priorities within a fast-moving business
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing junior staff
- Commercially aware, proactive, and solutions-focused
- Background within technology, digital services, or professional services environments
- Experience working within high-growth or transformation-focused organisations
- Exposure to systems improvement or business change projects
