Financial Controller | FinTech / SaaS Scale-Up | Central London (Hybrid Working) | £100,000 - Permanent Role

Robert Half are partnering with a rapidly growing SaaS provider delivering procurement, compliance, and supplier management solutions to large corporate clients.

Following a period of significant international growth, the business is investing heavily in strengthening its finance capability and is now seeking a Financial Controller to play a critical role in shaping a scalable, best-in-class finance function.

This is a high-impact, process-improvement led role, ideal for a technically strong finance professional who enjoys improving systems, implementing controls, and building efficient processes in a fast-paced scale-up environment.

About the Position

Reporting to the Finance Director, you'll play a central role in improving and strengthening financial operations as the company continues to scale globally.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the monthly group consolidation process across a growing international structure, ensuring accurate reporting in line with UK GAAP / FRS 101. * Improving and evolving the month-end close process, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency, and stronger financial controls. * Reviewing and strengthening financial controls and documentation, ensuring appropriate governance as the business scales. * Ensuring accurate revenue recognition processes, including deferrals, accruals, and reconciliations across both SaaS subscription and transaction-based revenue streams. * Supporting the development of management reporting and departmental insights, ensuring consistency between budget, forecasts, and actuals. * Leading improvements across AP and AR processes, ensuring effective controls, timely invoicing and collections, and accurate posting of transactions. * Reviewing complex or evolving commercial arrangements such as invoice factoring, rebates, early payment discounts, and sales commission structures, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment. * Designing and implementing new processes for areas such as sales commission reporting and performance tracking. * Working closely with internal teams to review new commercial contracts and business initiatives, ensuring appropriate accounting and financial treatment. * Overseeing the preparation of group and local entity statutory accounts and audits, ensuring timely completion and evaluating external providers where necessary. * Ensuring compliance with global reporting, audit, and tax requirements across a growing international entity structure. * Supporting the development of cash flow forecasting, including weekly and 13-week cash forecasts. * Partnering with the Data team to improve financial data visualisation, reporting dashboards, and KPI tracking. * Identifying further opportunities to automate reporting and streamline finance processes as the business continues to scale.

What We're Looking For

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). * 5+ years' post-qualification experience, with proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role. * Experience operating within a high-growth, international business, ideally within SaaS, FinTech, or technology environments. * Demonstrable experience improving finance processes, implementing controls, and driving operational improvements. * Strong experience across financial reporting, audit, tax compliance, and management accounting. * Comfortable reviewing and accounting for complex commercial arrangements and evolving business models. * Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced scale-up environment. * Strong communication skills with the ability to partner with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Here's What's Waiting for You

  • Hybrid working - 3 days per week in the Central London office. * A high-growth FinTech / SaaS environment with a global customer base and international operations. * The opportunity to lead meaningful finance transformation and process improvement initiatives. * Direct exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making. * The chance to build scalable processes and controls that will support the company's next phase of growth. * A collaborative, ambitious culture where initiative, innovation, and ownership are genuinely encouraged. * Clear opportunities for career progression within a scaling international organisation.
