Graduate Data Engineer

Robert Half have partnered with a pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation based in London who are looking to engage a Graduate Data Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and optimisation of their data platforms and reporting capabilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to join a regulated, data‐driven environment, gaining exposure to enterprise data engineering practices across development, test, and production environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and data models across dev, test, and prod environments
  • Working with SQL to query, transform, and validate data from multiple sources
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards for business stakeholders
  • Supporting data quality, validation, and reconciliation within a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Collaborating with senior engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements
  • Writing clear, well‐structured, and maintainable data‐related code
  • Gaining exposure to data governance, security, and best practices within pharmaceuticals

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline
  • Solid understanding of databases and data fundamentals
  • Experience with SQL (academic or commercial experience)
  • Experience with Power BI or similar BI / reporting tools
  • Exposure to Python for data analysis or engineering (highly desirable)
  • Understanding of development, test, and production environments
  • Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
  • Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment

Contract:

  • Graduate / entry‐level Data Engineering position
  • London‐based role with 1 day per week onsite
  • Working within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • 6 month contract
