Graduate Data Engineer
Robert Half have partnered with a pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation based in London who are looking to engage a Graduate Data Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and optimisation of their data platforms and reporting capabilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to join a regulated, data‐driven environment, gaining exposure to enterprise data engineering practices across development, test, and production environments.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and data models across dev, test, and prod environments
- Working with SQL to query, transform, and validate data from multiple sources
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards for business stakeholders
- Supporting data quality, validation, and reconciliation within a regulated manufacturing environment
- Collaborating with senior engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements
- Writing clear, well‐structured, and maintainable data‐related code
- Gaining exposure to data governance, security, and best practices within pharmaceuticals
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline
- Solid understanding of databases and data fundamentals
- Experience with SQL (academic or commercial experience)
- Experience with Power BI or similar BI / reporting tools
- Exposure to Python for data analysis or engineering (highly desirable)
- Understanding of development, test, and production environments
- Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
- Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment
Contract:
- Graduate / entry‐level Data Engineering position
- London‐based role with 1 day per week onsite
- Working within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- 6 month contract
