Head of Data, Analytics & Digital Transformation

Robert Half has partnered with a infrastructure business to recruit for a Head of Data, Analytics & Digital Transformation.

This is a newly created senior leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape and deliver the organisation's data, analytics and digital transformation strategy.

Salary: £75,000 - £85,000

Location: Crewe, York, Leeds or Derby

Working pattern: 2 days per week on site, with some travel to other locations

The Role

You will lead the development of a modern, data-driven function, using data, analytics, automation, AI and digital technology to improve operational performance, decision-making and business efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and deliver the organisation's data and digital transformation strategy.
• Build strong data governance, reporting and analytics capabilities.
• Establish reliable business data and improve data quality and accessibility.
• Lead digital transformation, automation and technology-enabled change programmes.
• Identify opportunities to use AI and emerging technologies to improve efficiency.
• Develop dashboards, MI and insights to support senior decision-making.
• Build and lead a high-performing data and digital team.
• Manage budgets, business cases, suppliers and transformation benefits.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders across technology, finance, operations and other functions.
• Ensure appropriate governance, risk, data protection and information security standards are maintained.

About You

We are looking for an experienced data, digital or transformation leader with:

• Significant leadership experience across data, analytics, digital transformation or technology.
• A strong track record delivering large-scale transformation programmes.
• Experience developing data strategies and governance frameworks.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of analytics, BI, automation, AI and emerging technologies.
• Commercial awareness, with experience managing budgets and business cases.
• Strong programme management, stakeholder engagement and change management skills.
• A strategic and commercially minded approach, with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.
