Robert Half is supporting a global consulting firm in sourcing an experienced IP Engineer to support a major broadcast infrastructure and site exit programme.
This role focuses on the network and transport layer supporting broadcast and video delivery services.
Assignment Details
• Initial Duration: 3–6 months (with likely extension)
• Location: Primarily remote with occasional travel to Hampshire
• Day Rate: £400–£450 p/day via PAYE (+12.07% holiday pay)
Role Overview
You will support the design, build and migration of network infrastructure, ensuring reliable transport of broadcast and video services across IP-based environments.
Key Skills & Experience
• Strong background in network engineering within broadcast, telecoms or media environments
• Experience with IP routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, multicast, VLANs)
• Understanding of video transport over IP (MPEG-TS, SRT, RTP, HLS, DASH)
• Experience supporting broadcast or media delivery networks
• Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure) desirable
• Experience working on infrastructure migrations, decommissioning or transformation programmes
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimisation capability
• Ability to support end-to-end delivery from discovery through to service transition
