Regional IT Business Applications Manager - Real Estate Investments

Central London (Hybrid 2/3 days a week in the office)

A leading global real estate investment, development and operating company with c.$98.5bn assets under management is seeking a Regional IT Business Applications Manager to lead application portfolio oversight and IT service delivery across its UK Residential Property operations.

The Role

The Regional IT Applications Manager will act as the senior technology partner to the UK Residential business, bridging technology and operational needs. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, ensuring application services are secure, reliable and aligned with global enterprise standards.

This position plays a critical role in aligning regional initiatives with global IT strategy, driving operational excellence, governance and compliance across the UK portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day regional application operations, ensuring service reliability and alignment with enterprise standards
  • Monitor system uptime, performance and SLA adherence
  • Lead regional incident response and escalation management, collaborating with global IT teams where required
  • Partner with business leaders, system owners and end users to gather requirements, conduct feasibility assessments and develop value-driven business cases
  • Implement global enterprise systems and technology standards across UK operations
  • Drive a culture of customer service, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Ensure corporate controls and compliance measures are implemented across all UK sites
  • Work closely with Information Security teams to assess risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Lead or support regional technology rollouts, upgrades and process improvements
  • Manage relationships with vendors, service providers and contractors, ensuring performance and contractual compliance
  • Contribute to IT budgeting, forecasting and cost optimisation initiatives
  • Report application metrics, risks and opportunities to senior leadership
  • Act as the on-site IT Business Partner to the UK Leadership Team

Candidate Profile

Experience & Education

  • Minimum 8 years' progressive IT experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or regional management capacity
  • Proven track record in application service delivery, portfolio management and team leadership

Technical Expertise

  • Strong knowledge/ background in enterprise applications, cloud technologies and integrations for example Microsoft 365, ERP platforms, CRM, Salesforce
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management frameworks
  • Experience leading technology projects and managing third-party vendors

  • Commercially aware and solutions-oriented
  • Proactive, with the ability to identify risks and deliver scalable outcomes
  • Comfortable operating in a matrixed, global environment
