Job Purpose
The Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing and supply chain initiatives by gathering and analysing business requirements, identifying opportunities for improvement, and contributing to the execution of processes, systems enhancements, and transformation projects.
This position is essential in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards whilst striving to optimise efficiency, data accuracy, and cross-functional operations across departments such as Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Regulatory Affairs.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Process Mapping:

Collect, document, and validate business and user requirements related to manufacturing processes, quality systems, and associated initiatives.

Develop process maps for both current ("as-is") workflows and envisioned ("to-be") workflows, using tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.

Highlight inefficiencies, identify gaps, and pinpoint opportunities for streamlining workflows or introducing automation.
Project & Change Support:

Transform business needs into clear, detailed functional specifications for system updates or changes to processes.

Support project delivery by ensuring the traceability of requirements, drafting test cases, and coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT).

Partner with Project Managers to stay aligned with deliverables, key milestones, and strategic goals.
Data & Systems:

Assist in data analysis and prepare reports on metrics like production performance, quality assurance, and capacity planning.

Serve as the bridge between technical experts and manufacturing teams during system updates or new implementations.
Stakeholder Engagement:

Lead workshops and engage in discussions with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, engineering, IT, and supply chain.

Ensure effective communication between developers and business subject matter experts (SMEs).

Collaborate with regulatory, validation, and compliance representatives to maintain adherence to standards.

Essential:

Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.

At least four years of professional experience in Business Analysis focused on transformation or change management initiatives.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail.

Highly adaptable to complex, cross-functional settings with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.

Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable:

Familiarity with tools and technologies like ERP, LIMS, MES, RPA, or data analytics platforms.

Knowledge of methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches.

Awareness of pharmaceutical regulations and standards, including GxP, GMP, GDP, or equivalent.

Proficiency in using business process modelling tools such as BPMN, Visio, ARIS, or Lucidchart.
