IT Business Analyst
Overview
Robert Half is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Finance Transformation expertise. This role supports our sister company Protiviti and requires someone confident operating in a consulting environment, shaping requirements and driving improvements across finance processes, systems, and operating models.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis activities across finance transformation workstreams.
- Gather, document, and challenge business requirements to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Map current-state and future-state finance processes using Microsoft Visio.
- Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimisation.
- Support solution design across finance systems (ERP, EPM, reporting, controls, data).
- Facilitate workshops with finance SMEs, technology teams, and senior stakeholders.
- Translate complex financial and operational needs into clear, actionable deliverables.
- Contribute to project governance, RAID management, and progress reporting.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within finance transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of finance processes (Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, FP&A, financial controls).
- Advanced Visio skills with demonstrable experience producing process maps and workflow documentation.
- Background in consulting or large-scale change environments.
- Experience working with finance systems (ERP, EPM, reporting tools).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in a consulting environment.
- Must be commutable to the North West at least 3 days a week
